Our Total Rewards team designs and supports the delivery of a total rewards program that is continuously evolving to position KPMG as a place the workforce of the future wants to be. As a Total Rewards Manager, you will be integral in the oversight and guidance of the data & analytical work done in support of our annual total cash review, including competitive market data analysis, survey participation and overall reporting and trend identification.

What you will do

  • The primary function of the role is management of the firm’s competitive analysis of reward programs and delivery of the firm wide merit and variable pay planning processes including:
    • Oversee compensation survey participation, including managing vendor relationships
    • Oversee analysis of market position relative to competition, including development of templates and frameworks for analysis, and development of presentations for firm leadership.
    • Work with the Senior Total Rewards Consultants to manage the annual variable pay budgeting and forecasting process. This requires working closely with Finance resources and requires a solid understanding of the firm wide budgeting process.
    • Play a leadership role in a cross-specialty project group to deliver the annual pay planning process firm wide, including project management of implementation plans; providing direction to team involved in delivering the pay planning process; identifying pay planning technology requirements and updates; execution of training and communication plans.
    • Work with HR Business Partners to develop and deliver tools (e.g. models) that can be utilized by their Geographic Leadership Teams in planning and executing the pay planning process
    • In Partnership with the Senior Total Rewards Consultants and HR Business Partners, support pay planners in delivering on their accountabilities relative to pay decisions and communication. Educate, provide decision tools and communication scripts that enables effective decision-making and supports pay conversations.
  • In partnership with the Total Rewards Leadership team, prioritize and manage firm wide Total Rewards analysis in the areas of base pay, variable pay, pay equity, benefits, pension and/or other Total Rewards programs; develop and/or oversee the development of analytic databases and financial models to enhance the understanding of Total Rewards program trends and impacts (e.g., costs, utilization, return on investment, etc.); lead and execute on the analytics components of annual projects and initiatives related to Total Rewards programs
  • Manage performance and day to day workload of Total Rewards Analyst(s) in support of the firm wide Total Rewards analysis.
  • Support team learning through knowledge sharing and collaborative work behaviours.
  • Research best practices in Total Rewards. Participate in external networks and conferences to remain current with external developments.

What you bring to the role:

  • A university degree in Human Resources/ related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an analytics role; CHRP and/or CCP designation preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of pay, reward and recognition principles and programs. Demonstrated ability to present effective business solutions as it pertains to Total Rewards.
  • Advanced analytic and modeling skills using MS Excel. Tableau is an asset.
  • Ability to analyze and translate large amounts of complex data into easy to understand summaries and communicate results in a succinct and compelling manner.
  • Strong organizational, project and change management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation and decision facilitation, report writing and data analysis. Ability to build relationships, assert ideas and influence stakeholders, gain credibility, and be perceived as a ‘Total Rewards technical expert’.
  • A self-starter who thrives in constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environments.
  • Past experience with performance management or coaching and developing people would be an asset
