The Service/Installation Technician is responsible for the service and maintenance of all equipment, ensuring necessary inventory of all parts, tools and equipment through accurate paperwork & organization. To keep all parts, equipment and tools in proper, safe working order. The Service/Installation Technician will also be required to install, relocate and dismantle equipment at jobsites as required. One of the key responsibilities of this position is to maintain a high level of quality control to ensure equipment meets safety standards and manufacturers specifications before it leaves the shop.

Main Duties of Service/Installation Technician

Inspect, service and repair all rental units.

Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment returned from rental

Respond to service calls by way of telephone diagnostic, or site repair.

Keep organized records of all equipment in house and on rent. (eg. equipment serviced, requiring service, on-site locations, service call records, repair orders and inventory.)

Inspect, monitor and repair additional parts for service equipment in need of modification, weld repair, manufacturing, or replacement.

New and used equipment retrofitting and custom repair modifications.

Organization of rental section in yard and inventory control.

Install, relocate and dismantle equipment at jobsites, as required.

Assists in manufacturing assembly of new equipment, when required.

Inform Management of inventory shortages or future part depletions.

Identify and help eliminate health and safety infractions by bringing to the attention of Management.

Keep service shop clean and well organized.
