The Primary Objective of the KCR role:

  • Provides Superior Customer Service***

All KCR’s are expected to:

  • Ensure that all customers receive the highest level of service following the Kiehl’s Service Standards for every customer
  • Achieve or exceed personal sales goals and KPI’s – AUS, IPT, Conversion, VIPS
  • Support and adhere to Circle of Service, VIP guidelines
  • Support brand objectives
  • Assist with execution of national and store-specific events and product launches
  • Adhere to Kiehl’s Since 1851 Appearance & Attire standards (clean and pressed lab coat, personal hygiene, makeup, and all black or black and white clothing) Examples of Providing Superior Customer Service, but are not limited to:


  • Conveys the Mission of Kiehls and the six core values to customers.
  • Ensures that all customers receive the highest level of service.
  • Maximizes selling during heavy traffic periods.
  • Adheres to “Kiehl’s Circle of Service” standards with every customer, every day
  • Supports and implements all key initiatives.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing all necessary steps of customer transactions.
  • Create long-term relationships with customers and nurtures repeat business.
  • Makes appropriate product and “ SMART ” sampling recommendations.
  • Exhibits updated product/ingredient knowledge and application
  • Handles customer feedback and communicates relevant information to SM and ASM
  • Ensures proper cleanliness and hygiene of all work areas at all times
  • Examples of Achieves Business Result:


  • Achieves or exceeds Sales Plans.
  • Maintains consistent AUS, IPT, SPH, and Conversion standards
  • Actively communicates sales achievement to Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager
  • Seeks and shares pertinent business information to SM, ASM and Home Office
  • Supports and implements all key initiatives.
  • Maintains awareness of competitive activity and communicates relevant information to SM and ASM
  • Utilizes personal clientele system/binder for maximum customer benefit.
  • Actively assists with developing corporate business opportunities
  • Communicates feedback on business results to SM, ASM daily/weekly and monthly

  • Is prepared for coaching weekly with SM and ASM to achieve optimum professional development.
  • Communicates regular feedback on all aspects of the business – customers, products, service levels, etc.
  • Participates in creating a professional and positive work environment
  • Assists with fostering strong community relationships by actively networking, and supporting Kiehl’s philanthropic pillars
  • Supports “One World One Kiehl’s” vision

Additional Requirements

  • Must adhere to Kiehls Since 1851 Policy and Procedure manual.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to __25__lbs on a regular basis, able to work on your feet for extended periods, and able to climb stairs and/or ladders as necessary.
