Kidnetic Education Inc. is a Vancouver-based consulting company with extensive experience and expertise in education program design, development and delivery. Kidnetic is recognized for its leadership in developing innovative and professionally developed energy conservation and sustainability training and education programs.

The Curriculum Developer/Facilitator is responsible for the development of teacher-friendly, student-centered energy literacy and sustainability education materials and learning resources and workshop facilitation for BC’s education sector, Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging online and print teaching resources and learning materials: lesson plans, teacher resource guides, teacher background information, student activities and materials
  • Provide concept design and framework development for education resources and programs
  • Coordinate resource design and development projects, including digital media, graphic design and editing
  • Develop program evaluation and assessment materials and processes
  • Revise program and educational resources and materials as necessary
  • Provide status reports and final program evaluation reports, generate program statistics and fulfill any necessary reporting procedures
  • Develop training materials, in-service and workshop outlines and processes
  • Deliver engaging and informative workshops to multi-age groups including students, teachers and school district personnel

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience
  • Classroom teaching experience
  • Educational resource and curriculum development experience
  • Knowledge of BC curriculum and latest education trends, including 21 st Century Learning
  • Understanding of and experience developing inquiry-based teaching and learning resources
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to set priorities, establish time-lines and targets and meet deadlines
  • Strong facilitation/presentation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong research and editing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of the British Columbia Kindergarten to grade 12 education sector
  • Interest in, and understanding of energy, energy conservation and sustainability issues

Position Structure:

Hourly wage is $30 to $40 depending on qualifications and experience. The position is based on a 25 to 30-hour work week, with a 60-day probation period. The position includes a benefits package. Some travel may be required.
