Reporting to the Production Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor’s primary mandate is to oversee all activities related to the reception, storage and distribution of raw materials in the plant. He works closely with Production Supervisors and the Transportation Coordinator to ensure the constant flow of raw materials required and accuracy of transactions related to the movement of raw materials. He actively participates in promoting the health and safety culture in his work environment and within his team.

Responsibilities

Supervise the work of forklift operators responsible for: receiving and storing raw materials, supplying the production floor and loading the finished products in the trailers;
Supervise the work of the truck driver for the delivery of trailers of finished products to the distribution center and moving trailers between loading docks;
Ensure the optimal use of space in the warehouse, the integrity of raw materials and the cleanliness of the premises according to the standards in force;
Perform daily cyclical inventory counts, analyze variances and take appropriate corrective action;
Coordinate and participate in quarterly physical counts of inventory of raw materials;
Participate in the development of procedures and / or work methods and train employees on procedures and working methods;
Oversee the inspection of received shipments;
Ensure the use of safe methods of work and behaviors within his team;
Report to his superior, problems related to the quality of food products in accordance with GMP, HACCP and SQF standards.
Qualifications

College degree in Operations Management and Production (OMP) or relevant academic training or secondary school diploma with relevant experience;
5 years’ experience in a similar field;
Knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel);
Knowledge of SAP is an asset;
Experience with an ERP or WMS.
