Position: Technology Architect – Level 3

Location: Guelph, ON

Duration: 80 Days (Part-time)

Description: The Technology Architect will be responsible for:

  • leadership in guiding the upgrade process
  • hands-on engagement in upgrading applications on the Development and Production environments, i.e. Siebel, eServers, OID, OBIEE, and linkages
  • documenting processes and build books
  • engaging with LRC and Oracle staff to develop techniques to expedite implementation
  • working closely with Project Manager and lead architect, and participate in the planning process
  • knowledge transfer to LRC and OMAFRA staff on final implementation and operational nuiances
  • research Oracle tools and techniques that could be leveraged for the implementation
  • develop a unit testing script to confirm successful install
  • enhance production build books
  • working with LRC and ITS staff on actual implementation
  • document performance measures of the new environments
  • Integrate activities with OMAFRA Portal Go Live and post Go Live to assist planning and response

Experience:

  • Extensive experience with installing and configuring Siebel CRM product
  • Experience with integration with non-Siebel systems
  • Familiar with Oracle development methodologies, tools and resources
  • Strong project leadership experience
  • Strong documentation skills especially for technical blueprints, build- books and procedure manuals
  • Extensive experience in middleware implementation and best practices, including upgrading Siebel
  • Familiar with OBIEE and eServices, and hands on experience an asset
  • Strong

  • Experience in developing techniques for large volume server middleware implementations
  • Sound project management skills
  • Experience with OPS IT methodologies and processes
  • Experience in working with ITS for provisioning server environments
  • Experience in working with complex infrastructure implementations

  • Familiar with application development life cycle
