Our government client is currently seeking a Junior Policy Consultant with the following requirements:

Language : Unilingual

Security Level : Secret

MANDATORY

-Minimum of one year experience working for the federal government

-Experience organizing international meetings and events ( as a public servant, contractor or as part of an academic exchange):

Typical duties may include the following:
· Providing coordination and logistics support;
· Developing key documents in support of international meetings and events;
· Preparing reporting documentation;
· Making international travel arrangements.
-Experience preparing briefing notes and other materials for senior management
-E xperience in working in the field of international relations
-Experience working on issues relating to sustainable development
-Experience working with Indigenous groups or on Indigenous issues
SCOPE OF WORK

The work to be performed can be described as follows:

• Assisting in the preparation of documents on current and emerging issues related to sustainable development in the Arctic, including briefing materials, position papers, speaking points, policy research, etc
• Tracking, monitoring and documenting issues related to sustainable development policies
• Analyzing domestic and international policy initiatives and data related to sustainable development in the Arctic
• Assist in planning international meetings and workshops related to the topic of sustainable development in the Arctic
• Preparing travel binders
• Booking travel for international meeting participants
