Janssen Inc. is currently recruiting for a Government Affairs and Market Access intern for 4 months. Start date is September 2015.

The ACCESS team is focused on two key responsibilities: working in close partnership with public and private payers to provide them with appropriate clinical data, and pricing to support drug funding and patient access; and data generation through clinical and health economic studies, to facilitate medication access through payers and adoption by prescribers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Engage in monitoring of national & international Health Technology Assessment Agencies (HTA) on relevant recommendations and/or policies

Provide analysis of data to help support policy positions for Janssen and industry associations

Perform literature searches and critically assess clinical and health economic data

Interpret data trends to support adjudication of product invoices

Understand the regulated pricing environment and support pricing team with data analysis

Attend team, departmental and company-wide meetings

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in life sciences, pharmacy or business (background in health sciences preferred);

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);

Strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail;

Demonstrated problem solving skills;

Self-directed learner with demonstrated project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks;

Ability to research and analyze medical/scientific information;

Proficiency in software applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Reference Manager
