RSA Canada is a leading Property and Casualty Insurance Company and is seeking a Data Architect for a full time permanent opportunity. This role will function within the Enterprise Architecture practice as a Data Architect to deliver data architecture expertise for IT Projects and Programs that is consistent with the organizations IT best practices and target architectures. This role will contribute to the creation, maturing, and governance of the enterprise data architecture artefacts as they relate to a number of functional areas within the organizations data and information landscape.

What you will achieve in this role:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of current and future state data and information architecture artefacts
Contribute to the definition and maintenance of best practice guidelines for information and data architecture
Act as an ambassador for data architecture principals, goals and decisions to the organization.
Contribute to the maturing of the Enterprise Master Data Management capability
Contribute to the definition and management of the Enterprise Data Governance framework
Contribute to the organizations transition into Cloud architectures specifically as they relate to data architecture
Collaborate with project deliver teams to provide input and guidance on information and data management best practices
Contribute to the definition and maintenance of best practice guidelines and standards for data, metadata, and master data management
Advise business on new and emerging technologies as they relate to data and information management.
Participate in the Enterprise Architecture Design Control Forum and Enterprise Architecture Review Board.
Architect data structures and commonly used data business intelligence tools for data analysis, and assist in their designs and implementation
Employ industry standard best practices in data warehouse design and implementation as well as ETL Frameworks
Work closely with the Data Modellers, ETL team, and database administrators to ensure needs of the end users are met.
Identity potential issues and gaps in the architecture, design and/or implementation, and work closely with Enterprise Architecture and the project delivery team for resolution.
What you bring to this role:
A minimum of six plus years of related experience
Experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing.
Experience with Master Data Management implementations
Experience with developing Architectures to support the Enterprise analytics function
Extensive experience defining data strategies in a complex multi-consumer data environment
Experience with industry standard data model implementations and the approaches to keep the models whole but still enable extensibility.
Experience in developing architectures to support a range of BI and analytics toolsets
Knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter and ContactManager data model is a definite asset
Extensive experience collaborating with other pillars of Enterprise Architecture
Experience in a large enterprise transformational exercise would be an asset.
Experience in designing and implementing data architectures for optimal performance and low process overhead
Knowledge of IBM InfoSphere DataStage, and Microstrategy Business Intelligence & Data Analytics tool are an asset.
Experience with IBM Infosphere Data Replication tool (IIDR) is an asset
Experience in Cloud Architectures including Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
AWS Solution Architect certification would be considered an asset
