HR Generalist – Recruiter (3-month contract)

JMX National Inc, is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated HR Generalist to join our growing Team. This position will be based in the Vancouver Area.

The primary mandate of the HR Generalist is to apply business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conducting proactive recruiting. Ensures job postings, newspaper advertisements, web support, and other marketing is available, appropriate and implemented
• Coordinates solicited candidates for interview
• Attends and participates in interviews
• Facilitates selection decision among qualified candidates
• Conducts reference checks on candidates as required
• Prepare termination and severance letters
• Maintain employee files

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

• Expertise in HR policies and procedures
• Strong knowledge of hiring processes
• Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
• Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills (oral and written).
• Strong independent work ethic with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines and communicate effectively with internal teams.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Education / Certifications / Licence:

• Education in Human Resources Management or related discipline
• 3+ years’ experience in HR

Computer Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point

Compensation:

• Salary to be determined based on skills and experience.

Hours of Work:

• 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM – Monday to Friday (*Flexibility as Required for Client Mandates)
