Job Summary

JD SWEID FOODS is one of Canada’s largest poultry and beef processing companies and is a national supplier of further processed beef, pork, poultry, and sauce products for the retail and food service markets.

We are currently looking for Part Time PRODUCTION WORKERS to fill a demand for increased volumes and vacation coverage at our Langley location. Successful candidates must be able to work a variety of morning and afternoon shifts from Monday through Saturday (some Sundays) . Production shifts generally start at 6am and 2pm start times. All shifts are 8 hours in length. You must be available to work both shifts.

Part Time workers can expect 40 hours plus some overtime throughout the year however there may be times where you would be on call. All future opportunities for Full Time work are posted internally and PT employees are welcome to apply as those positions become available.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Preference will be given to those candidates who are able to grow into key positions such as Machine Operators and Lead Hands.
• Good communication skills (English language required)
• Work well under pressure in a fast paced and cold environment
• Good manual dexterity and the ability to handle both raw and finished product
• Physically capable of standing and doing repetitive movements for long periods of time
• Ability to repetitively lift and handle up to 18 kg. is a must
• Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
• Experience with food safety and HACCP principles considered an asset (will train)
• Manufacturing or production environment experience preferred (willing to train)
• Above average attendance record
• Own transportation (public transportation not available for all start times)
