We are looking for an innovative individual to join our team as Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. This is a senior opportunity reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Business Services with further career progression possible based on performance. You will work directly with the leaders of Jazz and be responsible for providing direction across the organization. To be considered you must have a proven track record at the director or vice president level.

Key Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Work with the senior executive team and business leaders in developing both annual and long term strategic plans ensuring clear milestones, timelines and accountabilities.
  • Successfully prepare and negotiate detailed customer rate proposals annually.
  • Prepare in-depth analysis of business results and initiatives – translating the reported financial results to actionable information for the business units.
  • Manage and build relationships in fast paced, unionized and multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Challenge business performance and the status quo to reduce costs.
  • Monitor trends in business performance and forecast variances.
  • Support the Chorus Aviation public company quarter and year end close requirements.
  • Create and deliver board and executive level presentations.
  • Viewed as a trusted advisor by the business unit leadership and senior executive, provide timely and valued decision support and analysis.
  • Develop business cases and analysis on initiatives contemplated by the business units.


  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA) with at least 10 years of progressive financial management experience.
  • Strong IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) knowledge with a public company is an asset.
  • Expert knowledge of financial and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
  • Hands-on self-starter with demonstrated ability to perform under pressure to meet competing priorities and deliverables.
  • Natural leader with strong people management and coaching skills.
