This is therapeutic work in the treatment of persons affected with physical disabilities as a result of illness, injury or disabling conditions. This position receives direction from a Registered Physiotherapist and duties involve a significant amount of patient handling as treatment plans are implemented. Clinical training/supervision will be provided by regional Physiotherapy staff. Regional travel may be required. The successful candidate will be committed to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Required qualifications:

• Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education
• Graduation from a recognized Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Assistant Program
• Demonstrated body mechanics and lifting techniques
• A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position
• A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Hours of Work: Call As Needed (Shift work may be required)
Salary: CG-28 ($23.89-$26.47)
