The primary responsibility of the Guest Service Agent is to provide our hotel guests with a positive first and last impression, as well as providing them with excellent customer service in line with hotel standards. FLEXIBILITY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION! Must be able to remain calm under pressure and able to work with minimum supervision. Ability to stand for 8 hours. Flexibility to work on Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays is required. IHG hotels Experience and knowledge of opera PMS system is an asset.
The Guest Service Agent’s responsibilities also include:

  • Ensuring the highest level of guest service by welcoming, engaging and exceeding our guest’s expectations.
  • Greeting all our guests with a genuine smile, in a warm and courteous manner while consistently providing thoughtful hospitality.
  • Actively seek feedback from guests, taking actions to be proactive or provide service recovery as required.
  • Handle customer complaints with minimum management involvement
  • Identify loyalty members and create welcome letter
  • Resolving guest concerns through service recovery and working collaboratively with fellow leaders and colleagues, to implement change when necessary.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with fellow colleagues in Housekeeping and in the Maintenance, as well as with colleagues throughout the hotel/company.
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner, always considering one’s own well-being, and that of fellow colleagues and guests.
  • Following and adhering to policies surrounding guest privacy and security.
  • Demonstrate our value of teamwork by genuinely cooperating and assisting fellow colleagues.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by department leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends. Hours of work will be scheduled based on business volumes/operational demands and will vary.
  • Experience working in a customer service role is an asset. Demonstrated exceptional guest/customer service skills with a passion for anticipating and exceeding guest expectations.
  • University/College education, preference given to hotel management students.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel. Opera experience is an asset.
  • Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well in a busy and demanding environment.
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to problem solve, initiate action, and complete projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Must be friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a professional appearance.
  • Will be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Available: Immediately Compensation: The rate of pay is $12.00/hour. Probation period 3 months after that the rate will be have pay is $12.50/hour.
