Job Summary:
The IT Support Administrator will be responsible for providing resolution to customer issues involving multiple backup products. This position will require strong to expert level knowledge in the Asigra backup software suite. The technical support provided will be done via email, phone and web interface. Daily work includes, but not limited to, supporting case escalations, management of case load, updating case activity, monitoring case age, documentation and knowledge transfer for known issues.
The overall goal is to drive customer issues to resolution as quickly and efficiently as possible. You may be required to evaluate and prepare solution reports and help to create an extensive knowledge base containing scenarios and issues related to a wide range of operating systems, applications and databases. You will be working in a live lab that provides multiple opportunities to be exposed to variety of technologies, operating systems, hardware and applications.

Job Duties:
Manage a diverse and complex scope of support issues directly related to the use, support and implementation of the company’s core product “Online Backup/Disaster Recovery”.
Effective customer skills required via telephone and email to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by understanding and identifying the customer’s complex networks.
Share best practices with other team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of support services.
Effectively interact with other members of the team to provide solutions to complex technical issues.
Attempt first call case resolution, software/network troubleshooting and proactive support services.

Job Requirements and Experience:
Must have minimum of 4 years’ experience with data back-up technologies.
Strong preference for candidates with a Minimum of 2 years proven experience supporting Asigra Backup Software.
Demonstrated expertise supporting Enterprise level Backup/Recovery applications, e.g. Asigra, TSM, Commvault, NetBackup, AppAssure.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience troubleshooting backup storage hardware.
“Server side” experience troubleshooting BRS Systems in heterogeneous server environments running UNIX, Windows, Linux, and VMware, vSphere, XenServer or Hyper-V.
Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in a customer support background gained ideally within a corporate environment.
Aptitude for solving problems and acting on own initiative.
Strong team player; highly motivated with a willingness to learn.
Ability to prioritize issues and manage time effectively, being accountable for resolving customer issues.
Able to work effectively within a global team, i.e. sharing knowledge, offering help.
Ability to suggest alternative solutions, innovate and use past experience, to streamline operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well within a team.
Able to deal with people at all levels, both within and outside the business.
Accurately process and record call transactions using designated tracking software.
