The IT Training Analyst performs technical and analytical work involving needs analysis, course design, presentation and creation of online support documentation. The IT Training Analyst will perform training needs analyses; review technical documentation and related processes; define training needs to support the implementation of IT systems, programs and ERP system modules; design, create and deliver course content to suit the learning needs of various user groups; also create online system support documentation. The work performed also includes testing system environments created for training and ensuring all required interdependent data exists; reviewing online support information to determine if new documentation is required or if existing documentation needs updating and liaising with end users and technical IT staff to develop materials related to system updates and changes. The IT Training Analyst may also conduct pilot training sessions and make any required adjustments to materials, and also perform related work as required.

The ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of adult education methods and practices; the ability to analyze technical systems and ERP module documentation (SAP system experience preferred); experience with conveying technical concepts and related business procedures in a straightforward manner; proven ability presenting to large audiences; the ability to create or update end user documentation related to new systems and ERP modules following prescribed standards; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal contacts. While working in a team environment, the candidate should have the ability to independently make sound decisions while working on multiple projects concurrently. The candidate will make extensive use of Microsoft Office and online learning development tools.

Qualifications required include graduation from an Institute of Technology with a diploma in information technology plus considerable related experience, including developing and presenting technical training materials, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver’s licence for the Province of British Columbia is required.

Status: Temporary Full Time; August 2014 to December 2015.
