Job Description
Irving Oil Limited is the leading oil company in Eastern Canada with operations in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, Quebec and Ontario, as well as New England. The Lube Plant has a mandate to provide quality products with excellent customer service. This position supports that mandate by ensuring the production line runs smoothly and that products are labelled accurately.

The Operator is responsible for the safe operation of one or more of the Blow Molding lines in the Manufacturing Facility at IBP.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring machine operation using visual and audible checks
• Monitoring product quality and identification of non conforming product. Ensuring all bottles produced meet the required specifications.
• Maximizing operational efficiencies. Operating and making adjustments to the blowmolding lines so they run efficiently.
• Maintaining impeccable cleanliness of all workspaces.
• Completion of general machine maintenance.
• Shall work in a safe manner following all guidelines, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Up to 3 years previous experience in manufacturing operations
• Mechanical aptitude an asset
• Able to work in a team environment and fostering a culture of continual improvement
• Safe work habits are essential
• Some lifting not exceeding 50 lbs is required and significant time spent standing is common.
