We are currently recruiting for a Environmental, Health & Safety Administrative Specialist to join our Team!

Responsibilities include:
Understanding and supporting the EH&S Strategic Operating Plan that focuses on the execution of critical EHS processes including but not limited to incident management (MYOSH), EHS training, reduction in RIF, spill and leak prevention, regulatory compliance etc.

Supports the EH&S Team and the Field by soliciting for changes and organizing and updating EH&S guidance documents, such as the Safety and Health Management Program Manual, Safe Work Procedures, and the EH&S Portal Page on the Web Portal.

Track all projects, facilitate workers compensation data, and coordinate EH&S review of incidents.

Develop, implement and perfect existing procurement avenues for all IE EH&S supplies (PPE) for the field.

Provide Admin support to the Regional EH&S Managers in their responsibility managing regulatory interactions and communications with federal, state/provincial and local regulatory agencies.

Track OSH/Regulatory required training and provide reports to field managers on training requirements for IE front line operations personnel.

Draft weekly, monthly, quarterly EH&S reports

Facilitate and manage EH&S scorecard metrics

Draft IE correspondence to external stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

Provide Administrative support to EH&S response to incidents-support of root cause investigations.

Responsible for administering the IE MyOsh Incident Management System. Add/remove users, perform system maintenance, work with MyOsh vendor on system changes/upgrades.

Support EH&S Sr. Manager, Regional Managers and Field Coordinators in travel planning and other administrative matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of operations experience.

Post secondary education would be considered an asset.

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of EHS regulations, programs and practices an asset.

Previous energy and petroleum experience is an asset.

Strong capability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.

Must be effective at problem solving, root cause analysis and decision maker.

Must be detailed, organized and be able to prioritize effectively.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Strong comprehension and grammar skills.

Expert Microsoft Office experience

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to effectively work/communicate with all levels within organization and influence stakeholders.

Ability to champion Irving Energy’s EHS values, goals and objectives.
