Description Responsibilities:

  • Test Design: Test strategize, test plan and test case creation in providing test coverage across various products, systems, and platforms
  • Test Automation: Design and implement reusable automated test frameworks to drive test automation goals and to support continuous integration and regression testing. Utilize and extend existing test automation test harnesses
  • Agile Development: Understand and practice QA functions in an agile development cycle using Scrum process. Conduct early project scoping and collaborate with cross-functional teams in identifying testability goals across n-tier platforms
  • QA Best Practice: Stay abreast of industry test tools and best testing practices while making significant contributions to the development and deployment of various project releases. Provide mentorship and training to junior QA engineers.
  • Risk Mitigation: Anticipate and mitigate test and project issues through risk analysis and assessment
  • Defect Tracking/Reporting: Provide accurate and reproducible qualitative defect reporting, bug scrubs, and quality metrics with project core teams

Qualifications

  • BS/Masters in Computer Science or Engineering degree.

  • 8+ years of software quality experience testing analytical systems
  • 3+ years building test automation frameworks
  • Thorough knowledge of test methodologies such as: static (verification and validation) and dynamic, black, white, grey box, automated regression, build verification, load
  • Strong analytic skills, creative, and detail oriented
  • A self-starter that is proactive, and highly motivated
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with programming in an OOP language like Java, C++
  • Proficient with programming in any scripting language like Javascript, Ruby, Python or Perl
  • Proficient with Unix/Linux systems
  • Experience with bug tracking tools and version control systems (Jira/Perforce/SVN/Bugzilla/GIT/GitFlow)
  • Provides technical leadership, develops product expertise and advocates on behalf of the customer
  • Coordinates dependencies with other teams
  • Defines Quality Strategy
  • Must be comfortable working with cross geography and cross functional teams
  • Experience in leading technical activities for complex projects
  • Familiar with Agile Methodologies like Scrum
  • Influences organizational goals beyond a specific project
  • Public presentations at internal events

Required Experience

  • Familiarity with JUnit, Selenium, Jenkins, TestNg, RESTful WS testing
  • Familiarity with Saucelabs
  • Familiarity with CI/D process and tool sets and frameworks
  • Familiarity with testing in AWS
