The Slope Maintenance worker performs slope maintenance tasks in conjunction with multiple Mountain Operations Departments to provide for our guests and staff a hazard free and pleasurable mountain experience.


  • Placement, positioning and upkeep of padding and fencing
  • Tree line trimming, removal of fallen trees or other hazardous items from trails
  • Respond to issues brought to light by Ski Patrol in an appropriate time frame and document
  • Communicating electrical issues with night lighting and any other hazards to the appropriate departments
  • Maintaining the general appearance of guest staging/gathering areas
  • Maintaining snow levels around outbuildings, hill benches and waste receptacles
  • Responsible for removing and placing ski racks on nightly basis
  • Hand Cleaning of hills and rest areas
  • Maybe required to assist with Grooming, Snowmaking and Grounds as needed


  • Must be able to accommodate an evening or night shift and a rotating schedule which includes weekends
  • A willingness to work additional hours and shifts as needed
  • Should enjoy working outdoors and be able to work in inclement weather conditions without complaint
  • Physically fit, able to lift and carry heavy materials and to perform repetitive tasks involving bending, stretching, walking and kneeling.
  • Must be able to operate a range of equipment from simple handheld tools to power tools
  • Experience in minor maintenance and repair of equipment an asset
  • Must be able to follow established procedures, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks and document
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be safety conscious and wear required safety equipment when on the job
    • Experience in slope maintenance an asset
    • Experience in snowmobile operation an asset (internal training provided regardless)
    • Knowledge of Resort an asset
    • Valid Class “G” Drivers Licencein good standing required
