Title: Supply Chain Coordinator
Service: Medical Services
Location Base: Edmonton, Alberta
Functionally Reports To: Finance Manager Medical Services
Administratively Reports To: VP Operations, Edmonton

Position Overview
To source and deliver medications, consumables and medical equipment to our remote sites and manage inventory
Key Responsibilities
- Source medical supplies and Organize the deliveries of medications, consumables and medical equipment from various domestic suppliers
- Coordinate purchasing with finance and arrange shipments
- Organize and prepare custom clearance when required
- Liaise with remote sites to collect requisitions and needs.
- Foster partnerships with our local suppliers and ensure our standards and quality levels are aligned
- Identify vendors and negotiate purchasing conditions to ensure optimum price and commercial terms.
- Follow service level, take corrective actions
- Manage inventory of medical supplies, define min / max / reorder point.
- Provide management with regular reports on performance indicators
- Ensure profitability of our supply chain by ensuring client sign-off on both order and delivery is complete
Additional Responsibilities
- To work within and promote all International SOS’s policies, procedures and corporate values.
- To be aware of International SOS’ OH&S policies, practices and procedures and actively participate in the ongoing development and enhancement of these important areas of our business.
- Undertaking project work or reasonable duties as requested by direct Manager.
Required Languages
- Fluency in English both verbally and in writing
Required Registration
Required Qualifications
- degree in logistics and / or procurement (non-compulsory but preferable)
- SCMA courses or accreditation preferred
Required Skills and Abilities
- Attention to detail, ability to deliver results
- Ability to be perceived by stakeholders as an expert in logistics
- Ability to satisfy the clients in providing a good delivery service and in continuously improving it
- Positive influence on other team members and stakeholders even under stressful circumstances
- Advocator of proper Supply Chain and Quality Management practices
- Ability to make proper judgement and hedge risks
- Strong Excel or database skills
Required Work Experience/Knowledge
- Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in procurement or similar logistics or inventory management functions.
- Good knowledge of inventory management
- Medical background or knowledge of medical supplies is an asset
