Business Analyst(s) – our client requires multiple Business Analyst’s to join the IA Transformation initiative and related Projects. Duties of the Resource will include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Support senior project managers and senior business analysts in developing business cases with potential for ROI
  • Gather business requirements for select projects related to program or service design, including those involving information technology development (including both digital service design for customer service delivery and internal IT systems)
  • Track and manage competing and interdependent business requirements as part of project management
  • Participate in facilitated processes with ministry officials to gather business requirements to inform decision-making, program and service design and information technology development
  • Provide relevant data and analysis to the project streams on a timely basis in order to inform decision-making
  • The resource will be required to participate in consultant performance evaluation

Mandatory Requirements Include :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience contributing to the development of business cases that demonstrate an ROI for corporate investment.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a business analyst role, collecting business requirements, managing competing and interdependent requirements in product development.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing solutions for business delivery methods through the use of information technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading the business SMEs through the process of business transformation.

Desirable Requirements Include :

  • Proven record of contributing to business cases that achieve meet or exceed ROI targets in public sector settings. This will involve acute business acumen with a clear understanding of organizational challenges and issues and how to overcome them. A bias toward innovation and taking action to get to results. Candidates should provide details specific to the ROI targets (This requirement will be heavily weighted)
  • Demonstrated experience with influencing senior stakeholders within a public sector organization, to adopt and move towards a common vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience of working with an integrated team of (greater than ten) business users, technical resources and third party vendors comprised of employees and contracted resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare project documents including, but not limited to, business cases, proposals, feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement strategies, OCM strategies, business process requirements, process mapping, training manuals, business specifications, detailed budget estimates, and gap analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience participating and facilitating business process mapping workshops, requirements gathering sessions to elicit business requirements with an emphasis of understanding the business priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven experience working with all levels of stakeholders within a public sector organization and understanding business priorities. Must also have strong communication skills; written, verbal and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with Project Management approaches, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience working with continuous improvement approaches, such as Lean Six Sigma is an asset.

Start Date: Late-April 2017

Duration: 1 year + 2 pos. 1-year extensions
