Intellex Systems is currently recruiting a Business Analyst – Decommissioning for a contract opportunity in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities Include ( but are not limited to ):

  • Create project documents and associated planning documents.
  • Create stakeholder analyses.
  • Lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
  • Create business requirements, functional specifications and technical requirements.
  • Create new business and technical processes and complete business process reviews/re-engineering for existing processes.
  • Facilitate business process improvement sessions.
  • Assist in the development of new IT services.
  • Schedule, organize and lead project status meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Provide support by bridging communication between vendors, client ministries, and corporate technical and business teams.
  • Escalate unresolved issues/risks, options and recommendations

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 9 years working as a Business Analyst in decommissioning business applications and systems
  • 9 years in performing business system analysis/design, and software integration/implementation within an Information Technology environment
  • 9 years with data conversion from legacy to new systems, including developing data conversion plans, conversion threshold metrics, and go-live and transition to Operations planning
  • 9 years with gathering business and technical requirements for systems and applications, and documenting application interfaces
  • 9 years with writing business documents and developing and delivering presentation materials
  • 9 years direct demonstrated related experience conducting, facilitating requirements gathering sessions with business SMEs and business system owners.

Desirable Requirements:

  • 5 years demonstrated experience communicating with a diverse group of stakeholders, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • 5 years with designing, documenting and validating business processes
  • 5 years with developing test plans, test cases, unit testing, system testing, integration testing and supporting UAT
  • 5 years in developing and establishing traceability matrices
  • 5 years conducting or facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with stakeholder involvement from multiple business units or external organizations
  • 5 years with developing communications and change management plans
  • 5 years working with case tools
  • 5 years with implementing Integrated Workplace Management Systems
