Schedule:

• PT Regular: Saturday & Sunday 8am-4pm, Monday & Tuesday 4pm-9pm

Job Description: Living Assistants support adults with diversabilities in their home and community by:

• Providing a homelike, comfortable, and relationship centered living environment
• Establishing a warm personal relationship with each individual
• Encouraging the participation of family members and friends
• Creating opportunities beyond service delivery to involve individuals in their community

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• First Aid
• Criminal Record Check
• Experience in human services related field
• Demonstrated team work ability

Diploma, certificate, or post-secondary education in human services or related field an asset.
Direct service delivery experience in the community social services sector an asset.
Working knowledge of community-based services and related provincial and community support resources an asset.

Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with MS Word and basic keyboarding skills.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
NVCI and SIVA certification an asset.
Experience following Care Plans and Behavior Support Plans is an asset.
Successful candidates will be efficient, thorough, and passionate about delivering quality care and will possess the physical, mental, and emotional strength necessary to do so.
