As Quality Assurance Analyst, you will carry activities related to software testing, including system functional and acceptance tests, on strategic system projects or on a regional or national basis. You will also improve systems, workflow and profitability through the software testing and analysis. Based on the project scope, this could involve many business handling systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Participate in all document review required to produce test cases. (usecases, system requirements, user interface documents, supplementary specifications, etc.).
Prepare test cases, test matrices and reports.
Execute test cases and verify the results of QA and regression tests and take appropriate action.
Provide testing efforts estimates.
Assist or create test plans and strategies for project/tasks for the claims application.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure requirements are understood for development of test cases.
Education and experience:
University degree or college diploma in Information Technology or related field.
2+ years’ of testing experience.
Skills and abilities:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a commitment to continuous improvements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization.
Experience with HPQC/ALM, SQL, Oracle, DB2 , C / C++ / Java / VB script programming.
Test strategy and automation experience using QTP tool and UNIX and/or AIX operating system skills is an asset
Experience in the property & casualty industry is preferred.
Bilingualism (English/French) would be a bonus.
