Position: Infrastructure and Systems Analyst Type of position: 6 month contract (possibility of permanent position afterwards) Department: Finance Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Travelling: Not required POSITION’S OBJECTIVE Reporting to the CFO, the Infrastructure and Systems Analyst acts as the project lead. He is responsible for identifying and implementing refinements needed in the existing business systems (at first, time sheets and purchase orders) and/or to implement new systems better adapted to Moment Factory (MF) needs. This applies also to processes and solutions made to enhance the performance of MF’s accounting information system. He suggests, develops, implements and documents solutions to answer accounting needs as well as equips managers with data for management tools and key performance indicators (KPI).

He ensures a transfer of knowledge of the systems to designated resources. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES 1. Analysis of existing information, tools and procedures: – Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and propose new systems to improve production or workflow as required; – Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested programming and modifications are possible within the existing system. 2.

Customization of systems for internal use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency: – Gather and analyze business requirements, create technical specifications documentation, specify requirements and technical design; – Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs; – Identify and recommend cost effective solutions to resolve business system problems and improve business processes; – Code solutions as required, have the technical knowledge to develop and implement the solution. 3. Development and review of test plans: – Execute testing processes and review test results; – Report and communicate results to CFO. 4.

Documentation of solution (systems) and execution of user training: – Prepare and deliver oral presentations; – Explain complex technical concepts of the solution (system) in simple terms (user friendly); – Conduct follow-up with users to ensure proper understanding of the systems. POSITION’S EXPECTATIONS & REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS – Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline; – 3 to 4 years of experience in financial database analysis; – 3 to 4 years of experience integrating high performance data solutions; – Experience creating and reviewing architectural artefacts (e.g. conceptual, contextual, logical and physical diagrams, solution blueprint documents, etc.); – Experience in performing complex analysis, consulting and providing recommendations – Excellent communication skills; – Ability to prepare specifications and reports; – Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments; – Broad knowledge of the Information Industry, including trends in data warehousing, unstructured and big data advancements and mobile interfaces; – Able to work in a fast paced environment; – Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills. TECHNICAL SKILLS: – Programming: Java, PHP, Python, C/C++; – Content Management Framework: Drupal, WordPress, or equivalent; – Database and Data Modeling knowledge: MYSQL, SQL, NoSQL databases, Apache; – Knowledge in data warehousing, BI and ETL or related tools or solutions; – Operating Systems: Windows, Linux; – Familiar with testing procedures and tools: VMWare or equivalent; – Knowledge of Google platform, tools and API; – Knowledge of accounting systems, like Quickbooks or equivalent; – Experience with Software Agile Methodology is an asset.
