Role Purpose: To consistently acquire and deliver error-free sales/shipment data to meet IMS Brogan product needs; accurately and on time, by effectively liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Manage/Lead an offshore team on data analysis, project work, cycle close and process improvements. Responsibilities: Manage/Lead an offshore Sales production team. Provide counsel to team and internal stakeholders in regards to the Sales production application processes. Produce project and test plans, coordinate activities of projects, test changes and communicate the results with internal stakeholders. Act as SME on projects. Be able to lead the cycle close monthly Mainframe production support. Using knowledge of data, supplier systems and programming to manage, analyze and evaluate data proactively to provide 100% quality (accuracy and completeness) with on time delivery to the Sales processing stream. Perform analysis and data manipulation to resolve queries. Identify opportunities, implement and improve Sales production processes Ensure quality is maintained and improved. Perform root cause analyses, case studies, and monthly metrics. Ensure stakeholder needs are clearly defined and met. Knowledge of academic field(s) or discipline(s): University degree (Science, Business, MIS) or 4 or more years relevant work experience. Knowledge of IMS departments, products, services. Strong knowledge of the Sales database and its production processes. Understanding uses of IMS offerings/Services. Knowledge of customer’s business: Knowledge of inventory and distribution systems and sales data. Understand the value of Sales data to our clients and how they use the data to make business decisions. Ensure a basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry knowledge. Knowledge of Canadian Pharmaceutical, wholesale, and retail business an asset. Technology: Strong knowledge of Excel, Access. Knowledge of Mainframe, or advanced SQL language and relational database concepts. Knowledge of database theory and structure. Knowledge of Electronic Data Transmission methods. Other specific knowledge: Strong Analytical Abilities. Strong Client Focus and Acumen. Strong Communication and Negotiating skills. Strong leadership skills. Bilingualism an asset. Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize. Knowledge of supplier profiles and issues as they relate to the specific products and services. Understand concept of High Performing Teams and be able to operate within that context. Must act as SME with respect to data suppliers. Decisions directly made in this job: Sign off on data quality according to requirements on per supplier basis, i.e. determine supplier needs and work with suppliers as they undergo changes. Prioritize workload and tasks to allow sufficient processing time to handle potential problems. Recognize situations that require escalation to Management in order to ensure that all issues are addressed efficiently and that stakeholders are informed in a timely fashion. Recognize situations that require following the escalation process (Best Practice Communication) in order to resolve outstanding supplier issues. Recommendations/input provided by this job: Recommend potential new data suppliers Provide alternative solutions and recommendations with respect to data issues as well as potential impact on the Sales database. Recommendations for CPI to improve processes, decrease costs and/or improve delivery. Provide input to internal stakeholders with respect to understanding the potential uses and limitations of each supplier’s data. Provide input to be used for supplier visits, contract negotiations and supplier compensation
