The Role:

  • Support the Annual and Quarterly budgeting process by providing guidance / targets and support to budget holders while also coordinating with the other functions on the delivery of their assumptions by the required timelines
  • Provide support in the statutory and management accounting reporting processes, and for the reasonableness of the various financial reports, which include financial statements, information package supporting various decision points from the IBPM process.
  • Contribute to the integrity and timely reporting of financial results, for internal and external purposes.
  • Ensure accuracy of information provided by the controlling management records module in SAP) and participate in reinforcing the effective and efficient internal control environment.
  • Participate actively in the preparation and analysis of the monthly results using specific tools in SAP and BI to support internal (BAT) and external reporting.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of relevant and high quality financial analysis to enhance decision making, thus optimising the business units’ financial performance within the overall corporate strategy.
  • Assist budget holders in the review and completion of their budgets and the coordination of all inputs in the budgeting process
  • Maintain accesses workflow, by ensuring the proper approval processes are in place, thereby maintaining a strong internal controls environment
  • Supports the manager in identifying process improvements to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Participate in the Planning and Budgeting functions inclusive of Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Reconciliations, Month End Close, , Management reporting, data integrity and quality.
  • The Finance Analyst will perform specific tasks allocated by the Planning manager in the area of integrity, quality and reasonableness of the management reporting process, which includes quarterly reporting exercises.
  • Responsible for the preparation of various submissions of management reporting requirements
  • Perform some analytical reviews to ensure the movements vs. previous periods or vs. the previous forecast make sense
  • Prepare and analyze results for consistency, reasonableness and accuracy in support of the month-end reporting process.
  • Participate in the production and reporting of monthly reports using appropriate reporting methods – excel reports, BAT reporting system (BPC and BI)
  • Participate in the month-end closure process by performing reconciliations and analyses. Responsible to develop and maintain appropriate report structures in Excel, SAP, and BPC, BI.
  • Participate in audits by both external (KPMG) and internal (BAT) auditors.
  • Accountable for the testing of IT functionalities of ECC within the area of responsibilities along with incident management
  • Act a Super User representative for the processes of Cost Centres and WBS (Tracking of costs related to Projects) Act as an agent of change for the new ways of working – Maintain cost structures and communicate changes to internal stakeholders and Regional and Global counterparts
  • Train organization on new ways of working by running and leading workshops

Experience, Skills & Personal Requirements:

  • Degree with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CPA), or in the process of obtaining one
  • Experience in a large corporation
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of all the critical business processes of the organization to ensure these are properly reflected in the financial records (SAP).
  • Ability to understand the platforms and analyse reports, identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data;
  • Ability to understand and apply relevant financial skills and knowledge of accounting processes
  • Comfortable with highly automated system environment: SAP, BPC, BI, workflow solutions, financial shared service center
  • Influencing and good interpersonal skills
  • Detail–oriented, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision and with tight deadlines
  • Bilingualism (French & English) with strong writing skills in both languages. Spanish is an asset.

  • Finance Shared Services Centre (Costa Rica and Romania)- Collaborate closely with Finance Shared Service centres to provide high quality, timely management information to the business

External:
