Impact Public Affairs, a well-respected public relations and government relations firm based in Ottawa, is seeking a Junior Government Relations Coordinator to join the Toronto team.

Candidate responsibilities:

  • Maintain office coordination – Prepare and stage high-profile political and/or media-related events at Queen’s Park and Parliament Hill;
  • Liaise with media and government officials through written and verbal communication;
  • Create communication pieces such as media advisories, press releases and briefing materials;
  • Organize client files and respond to client needs.

The candidate must be:

  • Bilingual in English and French;
  • Possess a college or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
  • Possess strong communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Have a keen interest and knowledge of politics and the media – Demonstrate initiative at all times;
  • Possess superior attention to detail;
  • Handle difficult phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
