Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible to ensure all facets of aircraft maintenance, aircraft maintenance training, aircraft maintenance documentation and daily operations are maintained to the correct airworthiness standards as published in the TAM/MPM, AMM, CMM, technical and administrative instructions.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Communication with the Squadron Operations staff for all aircraft maintenance and support issues

Attend Squadron daily briefing

Ensure aircraft maintenance is adequately scheduled to provide mission capable aircraft to meet flight schedule

Ensure that the Site Manager is briefed on the current status of MOB correct and scheduled aircraft maintenance

Plan and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance on MOB assigned aircraft

Advise Site Manager on monthly aircraft availability and mission reliability, as well as cause factors and corrective actions

Ensure aircraft maintenance personnel requirements are identified, and personnel are assigned, as required, to support aircraft maintenance and operations

Ensure personnel adhere to airworthiness rules and standards in the TAM/MPM, technical publications and Aerospace Ads and SPPs

Audit and control of aircraft Servicing Sets for correctness and completeness of aircraft maintenance carried out at 1 st and 2 nd Line

Provide Recurrent Training for MOB personnel

Monitor individual training, identify and report training requirements

Advise Site Manager on stock levels and liaise with DSM/ Staff to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained

Reviewing and respond to Quality Audit observations, including recommending corrective action

Act as Site Manager when required

Act as PASMA and/ or PRAA when required

Act as DSM when required

Coordinate, Plan and Lead MRP and Deployments

Liaise with the CSC on maintenance and engineering issues relating to aircraft maintenance

Adhere to policies, procedures and directives established by the Company

Enforce policies, procedures and directives established by the Company

Perform other duties as may be required in support of the CH 149 ISSC

Skills and Knowledge

Highly skilled in coordinating Section and MOB activities, including, but not limited to shift assignments, crew rotations, assigning overtime, vacation scheduling, and attendance control

Communicate effectively with the customers and company, including oral and written communication

Detailed knowledge of aircraft fleet management, including but not limited to Stagger Management, Configuration Management, Retro fit After Delivery Program and Modification Program

Detailed knowledge of the Periodic Inspection Maintenance Program

Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems and their operating principles

Knowledge of special tools and test equipment

Knowledge of corrosion and corrosion control programs

Ability to use standard computer programs and specialised computer programs if necessary in the performance of duties

Valid NL Class 5 Drives License and the ability to drive vehicles tow tractors and support vehicles.
