On behalf of our client located in Downtown Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join our clients’ team for a 5 month contract opportunity.

As the Quality Assurance Tester you will be part of the IT team assisting with the testing and implementation of changes to our clients’ applications.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5+ years’ experience with source code control tools such as Visual source safe, CVS, SVN, Git, and Mercurial
• Experience in conducting JAD sessions and interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues 5+ years.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies 5+ years
• Minimum 5+ years in developing test cases and data for complex software products
• Create test plans for quality, completeness and compliance with the requirements documents and design documents.
• Assisting business users with User Acceptance Testing
• Demonstrated experience of at least 5+ years in performance, SIT and UAT testing.
• Reporting the status of QA efforts to the application team, SMEs and project manager
• Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
• Initiative to solve issues, mediate disagreements between testers and developers over testing results
• Demonstrate experience running test cases and logging defects
• Demonstrate good understanding of release management and change management processes and procedures
• Knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft office suite (minimum 5+ years)
