On behalf of our large, local, public sector client, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking an experienced End User Design Analyst to join our client’s Infrastructure team on a long-term (12+ months) contract basis.

This will be a specialist role within our client’s Desktop and Mobile Computing group. The End User Design Analyst (EUDA) will work under the direction of the IT Manager and will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, maintenance and communication of policies, processes and procedures related to end user infrastructure design, management and automated delivery processes. This includes but is not limited to end user solutions that are based on hardware, software, automation, cloud, related management infrastructure and associated components. The EUDA will design and oversee the implementation of end user-based technologies. The EUDA will make business critical decisions, related to the design and implementation of technology solutions and procedures

General Role(s), Responsibilities and Deliverables :
Windows 10 deployment and management Systems Center Configuration management maintenance, patching and software deployment.

Scripting and programming of automated software delivery using PowerShell, Admin Studio.

Planning and contributing to the design and configuration, of new hardware and software.

Identifying technical design alternatives.

Researching and assessing the impact of new tools, techniques for the management of end user infrastructure delivery and all associated components and where required provides cost/benefit summary.

Creating and maintaining infrastructure standards for end-user facing technologies.

Providing technical guidance to project teams. f) Providing applicable training and support for users and/or advanced technical documentation for support purposes.

Testing and implementation of further releases of applications, features and procedures.

Mandatory Required Expertise:
Specialist knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.

Specialist knowledge of PowerShell.

Specialist knowledge of application packaging and deployments using SCCM.

Specialist knowledge of desktop imaging technology MDT / OSD

Desirable Experience

Specialist knowledge of application virtualization solutions (Microsoft App-V5)

Knowledge of desktop security products such as Checkpoint and MacAfee

Note: the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic police record check

Terms:
This is a full-time contract role based in Richmond . Initial contract will be 12 months with a strong probability for multiple renewals. Their office has decent public transit access and free parking. Work environment is business casual. Monday-to-Friday, regular working hours.
