IBI Group’s Toronto office at 55 St. Clair Avenue West is searching for an IT Support Technician to help our corporate users for a 6 month contract to start.

Responsibilities:
• Field incoming calls and problem cases from users to resolve application and software issues.
• Document all pertinent user information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue in the support case system.
• Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
• Perform hands-on problem solving and create fixes for application issues reported by users.
• Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
• Analyze results, make recommendations for internal support process improvement, and implement changes.
• Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
• Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams and end users.
• Identify and learn appropriate software applications used within the organization
• Work closely with the corporate team to troubleshoot server related issues.

Qualifications:
• 1-3 years’ experience in an IT support role
• Diploma/Degree within Computer Science or a closely related field
• Windows desktop operation systems (Windows 7/8), Apple OSX
• Troubleshooting software (Microsoft applications), hardware (Dell).
• Excellent communication skills in order to effectively build relationships and communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organisation.
• Willingness to multi-task and be flexible to take on varied responsibilities.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical work ethic and an attention to detail are key.
• Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team when the task requires.
