Job Summary: The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for supporting the delivery of Tron construction projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for liaising, organizing and assisting in the coordination of project activities.

Reports To: Vice President, Projects

Scope of Responsibilities:
Will include all project related activities as directed by the Vice President, Projects; the Project Manager (PM); and the Site Construction Manager (CM), including the following responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of project estimates

Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements

Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and

progress invoicing

Contribute to the development of project master schedules

Coordinates the material requisition process and assists in material take-offs and tracking

Assist in the tracking of progress and quality of work being performed by subcontractors, suppliers and field trades

Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team

Prepare and review ongoing field progress and inspection reports throughout the lifecycle of the

construction phase

Provide critical information to the Project Manager in the issuance of contracts, letters of intent,

purchase orders, etc.

Coordinates and generates Requests for Information (RFI) for detailed engineering clarifications

Maintain tracking logs for purchase requisitions, project scope changes, RFI’s, change orders, etc.

Review client contract change documents to verify accuracy and completeness

Assist the PM in the review of contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval and prepare subcontractor bid comparison tables as needed

Prepare statutory declaration documents for invoicing and substantial completion certificates, and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained

Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude

Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may

impact client relations

Submit employee and contractor information to client’s for site access

Arrange for employees and contractors to attend client orientation

Liaise with clients as needed

Post-Secondary education in Engineering or Technical Diploma from a recognized institution.

Construction experience preferred but not required

Intuitive grasp of organizational structure in order to manage cross-departmental and cross disciplinary resource allocation.

Able to effectively communicate with all staff, including technical, professional, and upper


Basic knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
