Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support by attending to and maintaining a wide variety of documentation (statistical reports, correspondence, invoices for payment, etc.) pertaining to his/her departmental activities and by coordinating premises-related activities (inventory, physical layout, health/safety requirements and communication systems).
  • Provide high quality service in liaising directly with customers, employees and other contacts, while also screening telephone calls and visitors for supervisor.
  • Develop and maintain efficient and effective databases and files and assist others in routine research or similar activities in order to meet departmental needs and objectives.
  • Undertake research for projects using knowledge of departmental objectives as well as expertise in the use of technology, graphics and spreadsheet software.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in Office Administration and/or equivalent working experience.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
  • Must be able to multitask, work under stress and work on a tight schedule.
  • Must be bilingual (verbal and written French and English).
  • Must be systematic, thorough and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Good time management / Priority setting.
  • Ability to work independently.
