We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Learning and Organizational Development to join our Human Resources team.
Working with the Director, Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Occupational Health & Safety to create a supportive learning environment and a workplace of distinction, the Manager Learning and Organizational Development will be part of the HR team of professionals that will develop programs and initiatives that include: Talent management and succession planning, management/leadership learning, coaching and team building, change management, and employee engagement. The overarching goal of this role is to bring Organizational Development thought leadership to the hospital’s vision of reinventing patient care in a way that is practical, relevant, and results-oriented.
Supporting performance planning as part of an overall talent management framework
Supporting managers in professional development (facilitating workshops in house, coordinating off site learning opportunities)
Developing a Manager Foundations training curriculum for all front-line managers
Representing HRH at the Leadership and Organizational Development Consortium
Supporting effective roll out of Employee Engagement Survey and Action Plans
Developing and operationalize a Reward and Recognition Program
Developing a Succession Planning Program
Maintaining and grow change management practices to build resilient teams
Leading the development of OHA Award submission
Serving on relevant internal committees
This challenging opportunity requires a practical and results driven professional who possesses:
Three to five years of management experience, preferably in a health care setting
Five years of experience designing and delivering programs, especially around employee engagement and talent management
Three to five years facilitating learning and development programs
Three to five years of experience coaching leaders and teams
Knowledge and experience in integrating competencies into other HR practices
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, OD, learning and development, or other related fields. Masters preferred.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
Strong computer skills in MS Office
