SharePoint Systems Analyst Experience

. Demonstrable expertise and knowledge of SharePoint 2010 & 2013 Architecture, Information Architecture, Development, Testing and Deployment methodologies in an enterprise environment.

. Demonstrable knowledge of SharePoint 2013 features sets & workloads; SharePoint 2010 or 2013 records management features; SharePoint governance issues and implementation strategies.

. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

. Ability to interpret and review business requirements, and processes, against supported SharePoint 2013 feature sets & workloads to produce solution specifications.

. Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies

SharePoint Governance Planning Experience

. Demonstrable experience developing, documenting and implementing SharePoint governance plans in an enterprise level SharePoint farm environment.

SharePoint Operational Experience

. Demonstrated experience with the operational requirements of SQL Server deployed in an enterprise clustered environment, supporting Microsoft SharePoint farms.

. Documented experience developing, implementing and monitoring SharePoint operational plans.

Application Methodology Experience

. Demonstrable knowledge of applying formal system development life-cycle (SDLC) methodologies, waterfall or iterative, to SharePoint solutions.

Scope of Services and Deliverables

Responsibilities:

. Operate as the lead SharePoint 2013 platform coordinator / technical analyst resource for the OPP Enterprise SharePoint project.

. Work with the SharePoint team to successfully mature the OPP Enterprise SharePoint platform across disciplines: governance planning, documentation and implementation; records management strategy definition and implementation; solution request planning, coordination and development through a structured solution development life cycle (SDLC); operations planning and issue resolution.

. Participate in governance working group meetings, analysing, recommending, documenting and implementing architecture, operational, SDLC and information architecture best practices.

. Install, maintain, manage and report on the SharePoint farm web, application, and index, query and database servers in accordance with industry best practices.

. Setup, configure and maintain SharePoint and SQL Server infrastructure and services; SharePoint farm capacity planning, health monitoring and maintenance in accordance with best practices; ensuring farm governance, change control practices & policies are adhered to;

. Planning for and coordinating the installation of service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off-peak time as required;

. Provide technical expertise, support and troubleshooting skills to ensure farm up-time is maximized.

. Assess the potential of commercial SharePoint software add-on products to meet client business needs should stock SharePoint functionality not fulfil those needs.

. Contribute to technical policies, plans, procedures, standards, guidelines, tools, techniques, and documentation and performance criteria for the enterprise SharePoint farm.

. Act as an occasional backup to the Farm Administrator role.

. Report progress of work on a regular basis, raise any issues and concerns and propose mitigation strategies.

. Weekly status reports.

. Conducting feasibility analysis, project scoping and providing project work estimates for assigned tasks.

. Review and provide feedback on technical design documents.

. Knowledge transfer to OPP IT staff at all stages of the assignment.

. Contribute to the development and maturation of the OPP SharePoint system development life cycle, documentation and standards.

. System documentation, if required.

. Other duties, as assigned.
