Job Summary

Job Summary:

Responsible for a variety of functions throughout the hotel and could typically be referred to as a “Jack of all trades” within the Hotel. You could on an individual day be required to to greet and welcome guests to our hotel while providing luggage delivery service, be asked to clean up the grounds surrounding the HomePort buildings, help carry linen from our laundry to the surrounding buildings, restock laundry cabinets, drive our courtesy shuttle, support the front desk by answering incoming calls to the hotel, and even provide snow clearing services during the winter months. All the while ensuring that the highest standards of hospitality and customer service are demonstrated at all times, which requires having a clean and neat appearance while attending to guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner. This position as indicated is actively involved in the cleanliness of the property and provides regular cleaning throughout the common areas and hotel grounds.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Respond to guest requests and questions providing them with knowledgeable, efficient and helpful information.
• Assists guests with their luggage for both check-ins and check-outs.
• Restock linen cabinets and transports dirty linen back to our laundry facility.
• Operates our courtesy shuttle to various locations around the city.
• Complies with hotel’s Health and Safety polices.
• Understands the hotel’s polices including fire, security and standard operations.
• Constantly cleans and maintains common areas throughout the hotel and surrounding grounds.
• High standard of grooming and personal hygiene are required.
• Delivers newspapers, parcels and messages promptly.
• Utilized in a snow clearing role on the property during the winter months.
• Troubleshoots guest related problems.
• Other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Must be in good physical shape and with the ability to lift upwards of 50-75 lbs.
• Able to work a flexible schedule (Evenings, Weekends and Holidays)
• Valid Code of Conduct
