Position Purpose:
Puller Associates are responsible for pulling orders and loading orders onto trucks. The condition of the product upon delivery and the timeliness of this delivery can largely shape the service experience for many of Home Depot’s high volume Customers. It is essential that the Puller gain familiarity with the products, product location and store layout to provide the most efficient and highest quality service to our Customers. Maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy and following Home Depot’s safety policies and procedures are critical to performing the duties of a Puller Associate.

Position Responsibilities:
We’re looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by:
Gathering the product mix to fill orders in a timely manner
Obtaining pick-lists, the detailed list of product necessary to fill each order and prioritizing them as needed in the order of each needs to be filled
Loading delivery vehicles, which includes complying with required regulations
Maneuvering large bundles of merchandise throughout the store and creating space for delivery orders until they are moved out of the store
Packing and labeling orders carefully to ensure that products do not get damaged and can withstand the turbulence encountered on a delivery truck
Checking aisles to make sure inventory is stacked neatly and out of the way of Customers
Pulling items from shelves and transporting to appropriate areas .Locating inventory using detailed product identification codes (e.g., Articles)
Checking with department areas for availability of stocked items
Greeting customers and asking open-ended questions while expressing interest in projects in order to put the Customer at ease, determine the Customer’s level of expertise and determine Customer needs
Developing a course of action to accomplish specific goals, planning of how to organize the order on a pallet, labeling and effective storage of orders

Experience/Knowledge Required:The kind of orange we’re looking for will possess:
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
Excellent decision making ability and problem solving skills
