Process & Systems Engineering Specialist (24 Month Contract)
As a Process & Systems Engineering Specialist supporting the Production Control Packaging group, you will be involved in a number of continuous improvement projects that will enhance the department’s efficiency and ability to track inventory status in order to make quick, well-educated decisions. Utilizing your knowledge of system design/development, you will have responsibility to develop processes, procedures and systems through understanding the current and future needs of the department. You will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with different teams and suppliers to collaborate on the best solution.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of Packaging and Logistics operations and support daily operational and new model development activities
Work cross functionally with other teams to develop systems to manage inventory, analyse data and create reports
Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline operational activities
Create and manage daily and/or project based schedules and report on status regularly
Daily problem solving and investigation of supply chain issues
Track and monitor KPIs
Desired Skills and Experience:
University Degree in Business, Math or Engineering Design
Prefer 1-3 years’ experience, but not mandatory
Willingness to learn and apply Toyota Production System (TPS) principles.
Ability to apply analytics to a supply chain environment
Strong Microsoft office skills, as well as an aptitude to learn new systems are essential
Experience in system development
MS Project, Visio and SAP experience are strong assets
Proven project management experience
Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills
Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks through to fruition
Strong interpersonal and team building skills (work with many stakeholders)
Must be flexible to work in Cambridge or Woodstock
