The IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are consistently delivered on time and within budget while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and open communication with all key personnel involved in each project. The successful candidate will manage multiple internal and external projects with a variety of teams and technologies. Project methodology and collateral will vary depending on the engagement, client and solution being deployed. The successful candidate will be agile and eager to engage with the challenges of dealing with diverse and ever-changing list of projects.

Duties

  • Manage multiple small to medium IT projects simultaneously
  • Distribute meaningful meeting itineraries, lead meetings and calls, and distribute precise meeting minutes/action items.
  • Develop and distribute detailed project schedules that reflect planning sessions and feedback from full team.
  • Distribute executive project status decks which outline key accomplishments, outlook and a high-level timeline.
  • Follow-up regularly with team members to ensure that take-aways are being completed and project is on track.
  • Manage relationships with internal team, senior management, project sponsors, client team and suppliers.
  • Identify/manage risks and fearlessly communicating them to stake-holders ensuring project success and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct meetings and work closely with sales and technical teams to develop realistic, clearly communicated SOWs.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor and sense of humor while managing multiple, simultaneous projects.

Qualifications

  • Patience, attention to detail, agility and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated practical experience and knowledge for planning, organizing and reporting.
  • 2 years’ experience in leadership roles on projects.
  • Fluent English (written, spoken).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to develop and present various project documentation including, meeting minutes, briefing notes, action plans, executive summaries etc.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
  • Competency in related tools, such as Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Evernote
  • Must have a demonstrated collaborative teamwork approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Cloud Technology and DevOps would be an asset.
  • Exposure to the following vendors’ technologies would be an asset: Red Hat, Cisco, Docker, Hitachi Data Systems, Veritas.
  • Agile/Scrum master certification and experience would be an asset
  • Prior experience in a Professional Services or Consulting environment would be an asset.
  • Project Management Certification would be an asset as would University or College education in business or technology
