clients/patients/residents in meeting their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.

Continuing Care Assistant certificate
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to work independently
Basic computer skills, where required by the job
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Organizational skills
Valid drivers license, where required by the job

Additional Text:

• Continuing Care Assistant from SIAST; or Health Care Aide Certificate from SK Indian Institute of Technology (SIIT); or Personal Care Aide

Certificate from Saskatoon Business College (SBC); or an equivalent program.

• May consider hiring untrained resident attendants who will be required to obtain the SIAST Continuing Care Assistant Certificate or an equivalent

program as identified above within two (2) years at her/his own expense. Untrained applicants enrolled in the CCA certificate program and who have
completed the personal care course are preferred.
