Job Title: Person to Person Campaign Coordinator
Location: Vancouver Island, BC
Reports to: Area Manager
Status: Temporary, Part-time (22 hours per week)
Key Accountabilities:
Planning and Organizing
Prepare all program materials and ensure timely delivery to volunteers
Work with the Area Manager to develop the Person to Person fundraising activity plan
Provide ongoing updates on action plan deliverables, issues and/or changes
Identify and assess opportunities to increase fundraising revenues
Complete a detailed post campaign analysis including tele-recruiting reports.
Identify promotional activities and partnerships in target areas to expand program reach and recruitment
Develop a tele-recruiting plan and or schedule to maximize tele-recruiting opportunities in order to meet canvasser requirements per community for targeted geographic area
Help prepare all required paperwork and details for Big Bike events logistics
Customer Service
Proactively identify new opportunities through personal visits, phone calls, and presentations
Deepen relationships by providing consistent and prompt response
Provide exceptional friendly service to both internal and external customers
Teamwork and Coaching Others
Recruit, retain, recognize, and train all campaign volunteers and tele-recruiting staff
Motivate and coach volunteers with a view to building long term volunteer relationships
Assist in answering phones, taking donation calls, and interfacing with the public
Participate in training sessions, conference calls, and weekly meetings
Recruit, retain, recognize, and train key volunteers for each designated event and site
Detail and Accuracy
Maintain accurate records of all campaign activities and inventory, ensuring an effective tracking system is in place for all kits and canvassers
Prepare weekly and monthly status reports
Ensure all revenue is collected from volunteers, recorded, and banked, according to policy guidelines
Oversee and manage revenue and associated reports for online fund raising
Qualifications:
Experience in a related field (sales/marketing/fund development)
Excellent sales skills with the ability to promote and sell ideas and programs
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability in engaging stakeholders across a variety of communication platforms
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
Experience in coaching and leading teams
Strong community connections
Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
Ability to travel
Ability to work some weekends and evenings as required
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)
Experience using database and content management systems
This is a contract, part-time (approximately 22 hours per week) position based out of Nanaimo, BC, with the possibility of extension. Overall responsibility is to meet revenue, leadership and canvasser/volunteer goals for the Person to Person campaign by creating and sustaining a volunteer network confident in approaching new and returning households for funds, and supporting the Community Development Coordinator in retaining and growing Big Bike teams, and helping to organize the Big Bike events.
