POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Engagement and participating as a member of the Community Engagement team, the Campaign Coordinator – Melfort will be responsible for coordination of the Heart&Stroke Canvass in Melfort and surrounding area for 2016.

This is a part-time term position from October 2015 to March 2016. There will be a Christmas break from December 20, 2015 to January 4, 2016. The number of hours required to work each week will vary and will be discussed during the hiring process.The Coordinator will work out of their home and must have a computer and access to telephone and internet on a full time basis.The Coordinator must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel regularly throughout their city and immediate surrounding area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Identify, recruit and train leadership volunteers in your community

Ensure a volunteer is recruited to canvass all priority routes in your designated area

Educate your community, volunteers and donors about the Foundation’s mission through the Heart & Stroke Canvass

Coordinate the distribution and return of kit materials in your designated area

Coordinate separate pick up and drop off kit events for volunteers in your area

Monitor and oversee the Heart & Stroke Canvass in your designated area to ensure that volunteer and revenue goals are met

Responsible for all campaign data entry into foundation supplied documents – specific to your designated area

Complete all evaluation reports and submit to the Senior Manager, Community Engagement on a weekly basis or as requested

Coordinate the collection of funds and deposit funds into the bank

Work with the local media as required in promoting Heart & Stroke Canvass in your local community

Attend and represent the Heart and Stroke Foundation at various community initiated canvass activities in your community

Recommend and assist in implementing new strategies to grow campaign for future years

Respond to emails sent to your Heart and Stroke Foundation email address in a timely manner as this is the primary method of communication between staff and volunteers

Attend a training session in Saskatoon

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Experience in sales

Goal setting and achievement orientated

Strong relationship building and communication skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

People management experience an asset

Proficient PC skills with MS Office and Windows XP; superior Excel skills

Able to work weekends and evenings

During peak periods evening and weekend hours are required

Access to own vehicle and ability to travel
