About Us

We are a third party logistics company working with 2 clients to coordinate their warehousing and shipping needs. We are located off Country Hills Blvd NE and are looking for an enthusiastic HR Professional to join our team!

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Representative is responsible for providing support services within the HR department in all key functional areas for approximately 200 employees. This role is responsible for end to end recruitment processes, conducting investigations and advising on disciplinary matters, administration and compliance and other special projects.

Position Description

  • Provide associate relations support and facilitate resolution to associate relation issues
  • Lead hourly sourcing strategies by recruiting, interviewing, processing, conducting orientation and training
  • Provide guidance to operations regarding legislation and laws related to HR activities
  • Collect and analyze HR data for making recommendations to operations team
  • Provide support in addressing issues with interpreting, training, and applying company policies and programs
  • Provide employees with answers relating to benefits, pension and other process related questions
  • Strong focus on employee relations and engagement, building trusting relationships with associates, and be the first point of contact for employees and business leaders
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities and participating in company events
  • Maintain accurate and consistent computer databases through data entry of employee information on a daily basis
  • Manage and maintain employee files
  • Lead team associate committees and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and create associate communication boards
  • Participate in other HR related projects as required

Job Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma program in Human Resources
  • Customer service skills including effectively and efficiently responding to all employee inquiries; identifying stated and unstated customer needs; resolving any conflicts or problems
  • Problem solving skills including analysis of information
  • Issue management skills including time management (multi-tasking); information gathering including ability to maintain strict confidentiality; problem solving skills (identifying and correcting errors); organizational skills (prioritizing, sense of urgency, attention to detail)
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, keyboarding
  • Communication skills including written (reports, letters, memos); and verbal (communication with employees and managers)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fast learner, proactive with the ability to work independently
  • Reliable transportation to get you to and from work – limited access to public transportation
