Karate Kids Canada is now hiring qualified candidates for PROGRAM MANAGER position (Absolutely no martial arts experience necessary) and to be part of our teaching team working with elementary school children. Since 2001 our company has run these highly regarded programs in several school boards across the GTA including York and Peel Regions.

Overview: Karate Kids Canada ( www.karatekids.ca ) is now hiring Program Managers in the Halton Region from Burlington to Oakville. We are looking for candidates to manage our 40 minute lunch time classes in approximately 12 schools per school year. You will be delivering our fitness and character development program to children between the ages of 6 and 11 in the gymnasium with a Martial Arts instructor partner in at least 4 schools a week during the lunch recess at the schools. Candidates need to be comfortable managing up to 10 instructors and have at least 1 yr of management experience. The successful candidate will oversee the program from start to finish at each assigned school and is responsible for instructor communication, customer service and quality control of each class.

Work corresponds to the 10 month school year with all school holidays off.
January/February and September/October will be the busiest months.

Qualifications: Must be available from 10am to 2pm, Mon-Fri., VERY ORGANIZED, extremely detailed oriented, energetic and fun personality. The ideal candidate will be energetic, outgoing, physically fit and enjoy working with children between the age of 6 and 11. Excellent people skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Candidates will be required to provide a clean criminal check at time of hiring. Should reside in Halton Region.

Compensation: Depending on number of schools in your area, you can earn in the

• $1250/month range working part time hours.

Sample of Job Tasks : Collect and process enrolment forms and maintain attendance lists (Data Entry), Process Payments (prep and do bank deposit once a month), Teach the assigned curriculum at assigned schools, Customer service for assigned schools (answering parent questions, processing drop outs, refunds and e-mail communication), Manage and schedule all instructors.
Opportunity to manage up to 20 schools after first year.
