The Halifax Grammar School (HGS) is seeking a part-time Senior School IB Science/Math teacher for the 2018-19 academic year beginning August 2018 .

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Science Department and should have a passion for teaching. Moreover, not only should they strive for excellence in teaching but should be comfortable with current approaches to teaching and learning. They will also be committed to the co-curricular program of the school.

The successful candidate will have, as a minimum, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a Bachelor of Science. Knowledge of an independent school environment would be a definite asset.

HGS is a premier co-educational school of approximately 500 junior primary through grade twelve students and is situated in the south end of Halifax. The HGS mission focuses on developing the whole child through a balanced curriculum of academics, arts, athletics, and altruism. All Grades 11 and 12 students gain a global perspective through the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma curriculum.
