We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of INVENTORY CONTROL ANALYST (6 MONTH CONTRACT).

The Inventory Control Analyst maintains an inventory of raw material and finished goods at multiple sites and ensures the overall accuracy meets and exceeds company’s requirements. Responsible for the development and execution of improvement initiatives to achieve and sustain flawless loss control practices within Hain and third parties.


  • Day to day inventory management including investigating and correcting inventory discrepancies, locating missing product, performing inventory adjustments and stock transfers, maintaining cycle counting program and assisting in the coordination of year-end inventory counts
  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
  • Manage 3PL warehouses including shipping and receiving activities
  • Perform Monthly/Quarterly reconciliation of finished product, additive, and packaging component inventories
  • Reconcile annual physical inventory counts for a complete and accurate inventory
  • Manage LOT assignments and perform weekly/monthly audits and adjustments to place holds on below codes/expired/lost/damaged stock
  • Liaise with other teams within the organization as well as externally
  • Lead the process of recommending and taking corrective actions in areas of additive receipt management, consumption, and losses at third party facilities
  • Lead the process of investigating, identifying and eliminating product losses
  • Maintain inventory control standards and guidelines
  • Investigate and resolve any shortfalls of product, as well as correct any posting errors as required
  • Manage return goods authorization process with Customer Service and Quality
  • Assist in the review and closure of delinquent/past due work orders impacting inventory levels
  • Continuously monitor, recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and productivity of department

COMPETENCIES (Behavioural & Technical Skills)

  • Knowledge of inventory management of perishable retail food products would be an asset
  • Previous experience in food industry within 3PL would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must have the flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands and schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) is a must
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective relationships with Co-packers & supply chain personnel, both oral and written
  • Superior mathematical and analytical skills is a must
  • Pro-active self-starter, able to work independently and in team settings
  • Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented
  • Solid understanding of supply chain functions, forecasting and inventory management principles
  • Experience within MRP/ERP and multi project environment/business is a must


  • Completed an Inventory Management Degree/Diploma or equivalent combination of post-secondary education, training & experience would be an asset
  • Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation would be an asset
