Reporting to the Senior Director, Property Management, the successful candidate will fill the full-time position of Manager, Marketing and Communications. This role will be located at Commerce Court LEED® EB: O&M Gold Certified with responsibilities at South Financial Core LEED® CS Gold Certified in downtown Toronto.

You will plan, direct and manage the retail marketing and communications component of the buildings as well as coordinate all marketing, promotional activities and communication efforts of Commerce Court and South Financial Core. As a key member of the Property Management team, you will elevate the brand of the portfolio. As a creative thinker, your flexibility allows you to work collaboratively with different audiences including Tenants, internal stakeholders and others within the Real Estate industry.

You’ll help us move to the next level by:

• Creating promotional event calendars for retail marketing events within the buildings
• Ensuring a high level of tenant relations is maintained by regular contact with retail tenants within the buildings
• Creating newsletters for the buildings as well as other communication pieces
• Organizing and planning building and community events
• Establishing a detailed budget and business plan for retail and building marketing events
• Arranging construction and leasing (vacant space) signage, hoarding and communication requirements
• Managing all retail directories as well as update, manage and curate relevant content for building websites
• Planning and organizing entertainment features that occur within the complexes
• Playing a major role alongside the Property Manager in welcoming and introducing new retail tenants to the buildings
• Managing each properties social media accounts and promoting the complexes in a positive light
• Arranging photography as required for the buildings and/or events
• Work with the Corporate Communications team in executing external messaging related to national initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

During the interview, we’ll want to hear about your:

• Post secondary education in communications, marketing or other related field; including solid understanding of a variety of software
• Five years experience in a marketing and communications capacity
• Proven results track record developing and delivering strategic marketing and communications plans; including strong social media presence
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to work well in a fast paced, high profile environment
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills that present information clearly to capture attention and enthusiasm
