Our client, one of Canada’s largest privately-held telecommunications company, is currently looking to fill the role of Senior Database Administrator. The role will be based at their Toronto GTA head office.

The Senior DBA will take ownership of the technical direction and strategy involving all instances of SQL production systems across a range of innovative software solutions including SAP Business Objects, in house CRM, and carrier grade telephony platforms.

The ideal candidate will thrive on the technical challenge of designing and overseeing the implementation of complex database solutions for innovative products and on high profile projects. Our technical environment maximizes the use of SQL across 2005/2008 and 2012 cluster environments. The ideal candidate will essentially be a SQL guru.

Job Requirements10 years experience in SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012.Experience in setting up and maintaining SQL Server replication.Advanced experience in SQL Server monitoring & clustering.Ability to troubleshoot database performance issues including hardware.Advanced experience with Complex T-SQL queries and Triggers.Advanced experience data warehousing & ETL.Knowledge of any third party database monitoring tools such as Idera Diagnostic Manager and Red Gate.2-5 years’ experience working in SAP Business Objects including tools like Universe design tools, Web Intelligence Rich Client, Data Services Designer, BI Launch Pad & CMC.Database performance tuning experience.
Nice to Have’sMySQL Administration experience.PostGreSQL Administration experience.
